Vintage Ewe Kente Cloth Red Purple Stripes

This vintage Ewe Kente cloth is mostly bright red with several vertical purple bands running from top to bottom. Between the purple bands sit many short horizontal lines in yellow, white, light blue and gray.

These lines break the red areas into neat rows of rectangular blocks. The purple bands themselves have a fine checkered pattern. The whole piece shows a clear and regular design with a traditional handwoven feel.
