Strip-Woven Ewe Kente with Solid Accents

This handwoven Kente cloth is built from long horizontal bands of black and white rectangles crossed by thin colored lines, alternating with rectangles filled by small squares, steps, and pointed color blocks in yellow, red, blue, green, brown, and orange.

Across the bands sit small solid shapes in cyan-blue, yellow, and green that appear as arrows, crosses, and curved pieces. A vertical orange strip runs the full length of the right side, after which the pattern shifts to a dense field of green, yellow, black, and soft pink.
